Topic:
How many threads would it take to call it a fabric?
I’m playing with creating a cross-platform backup system. One of the key aspects is that I’d like (if the user is so inclined) to see exactly what is going on during the backup process. I’m planning on using a good number of threads to step through all of the steps: gather file names, MD5, determine what needs to be backed up, copy, compress, encrypt, backup, confirm, etc. So this brings us to the subject of spawning off threads, know what the thread is doing in the way of progress, and then how to determine if the thread has completed it’s run. Threads, threads, and more threads!
Of course we’ll have all of the latest Xojo news, announcements, and events.
I hope to see you there!
